Powwow lessons with Spike Eaglespeaker Jr.

Join ARPA and special guest star, Spike Eaglespeaker Jr, on June 22 from 11:00 am – noon to help us celebrate 2020’s National Indigenous Peoples Day! This free online session, “Powwow lessons with Spike Eaglespeaker Jr.”, is a dynamic opportunity to be physically active, take part in a cultural experience, and get your powwow dance moves on!

Spike is an accomplished singer, drummer, and dancer from the Siksika Nation. He has received many internationally recognized awards and is currently a member of the singing group, the Blackfoot Confederacy. Spike is a dedicated community champion who uses culture, recreation, and sport to improve the wellness of his Nation. Join Spike in this culturally themed webinar that will give you a new appreciation of the power of song and dance. This webinar is also part of ARPA’s June is Recreation and Parks (JRPM) Month.
