What are the ChooseWell Healthy Community Awards?
The ChooseWell Healthy Community Awards celebrate the efforts and achievements of communities and wellness champions in recreation and parks settings across Alberta in promoting healthy eating and active living, and creating conditions where the healthy choice is the easy choice.
The ChooseWell Healthy Community Awards recognize communities and champions that are currently participating in the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association’s Communities ChooseWell initiative.
The nomination process for the ChooseWell Healthy Community Awards opens July 2, 2021!
Nominate your community by telling us a story in 500 words or less about the most significant positive change in your community around healthy eating and active living. The ChooseWell team will be short-listing these stories, and then sending them out to all Alberta champions to vote on, and the top 6 will be recognized at our 2022 Symposium, including a video vignette telling your story.
Click here to submit your story.
We are also accepting submissions for the Community Wellness Leadership Award, which recognizes an elected or appointed official who is a wellness champion in your community. If you know of someone who fits the bill, nominate them! For more details on the Community Wellness Leadership Award, click here. For full details on the award grading criteria rubric, click here.
Submit a Community Wellness Leadership Award Nomination.
Nominations will be open until midnight on August 16, 2021.
